The Valley of Palaces and Gardens – Around the Jelenia Góra (Hirschberg) Valley
It is in the heart of the Karkonosze mountain range (also known as the Giant Mountains or Riesengebirge) that you will be able to visit more than 30 palaces and castles. These locations offer an amazing experience and a chance to fire up your imagination.
The history of the valley includes Romantic structures, enchanted parks, fascinating stories of banquets and scandals, as well as blood chilling tales.
Where you visit and what you see is up to you. Bukowiec (Buchwald), Lomnica (Lomnitz), Karpniki (Fischbach), or maybe Siedlecin (Boberröhrsdorf) with its knight’s tower all are like a return trip to the time of Sir Lancelot.

Which one of these former mighty strongholds would you like to see? We can see all of them together. These incredible fortification monuments are indicative of the greatness and significance of Silesia as one of the richest lands to date.
The Sudetes Fortresses is a journey to the halcyon days of these places, entering the heart of these structures – Donjon (donjon), feeling the atmosphere of the former casemates, as well as kilometres of underground chambers, footpaths and counter mine galleries.

I would like to invite you on a journey through the Klodsko Valley – an enclave and a stronghold of the Habsburg Catholic faith, called a county exactly due to its importance. Here, you can marvel at the facilities not unlike the ones you may find in the Austrian Alps and get to the source of three rivers: The Oder, The Elbe and The Danube. You may also explore baroque palaces and castles and visit Poland’s only Phillumeny Museum dedicated to the themes of fire, matches and lighters.
